Cappuccino please!

Hey coffee drinkers, I was writing the post that will be coming right after this one when I realized that not everyone and by everyone I mean, almost nobody knows the difference between a latte and a cappuccino. Some people don't even know what a latte is, and they drink it every day. So I thought I should just give a small little educational course of the espresso menu at any bar or cafe'.

MYTH: Lattes and Cappuccino's are made with coffee.
FACT: They are made with espresso which for the most part comes in shots. Yes, shots like shot glasses at a bar that serves alcohol. You drink certain liquors in shots, just like you drink espresso in shots.

MYTH: Lattes and Cappuccino's are the same.
FACT: Lattes are made with mostly steamed milk and generous dollop of foam. Cappuccinos are made with half steamed milk and half foam. So obviously asking for a no foam cappuccino is ridiculous and asking for a latte with extra foam is just as stupid. Pick up a latte and a cappuccino and see for yourself the weight difference.

Therefore you may ask for a no foam latte and a dry cappuccino but not the opposite.

Im a firm believer in the more foam the better, what's your cappuccino/latte philosophy?
